In CodeRing it is feasible to detach the inner shank (followed by the stone) from the main shank and use it as a separate piece. Also, the silver-made main shank of the ring, which is a signification of human corporeal vessel, can be used as a discrete piece of jewelry. The stone in the center is placed as a beating heart with golden capillaries. Moreover, the stone of the internal ring has been made out of natural and nature-friendly materials; in which no chemical color or substance was used in the process of making and production.

Production Technology

Making jewelry out of silver is one of the oldest craftworks of jewelry design and production in Iran.Its stone is made of natural materials completely, and are exclusive and environment friendly; having no chemical colors or substances in its procedure of making.

Design Challenge

The ultimate goal of the design and production of this collection is the creation of job opportunities and entrepreneurship for different social groups, which is towards manufacturing a sustainable product.Moreover, wearing a ring with a creative design and features in which does no harm to the environment would induce a feeling of usefulness, value and self-actualization, to its users.

Project Duration

This project started in 2017 and was finalized after the first prototype.

Operation Flow

The interior part of the ring has a discrete base and can be used like a separate ring from the main shank. The user is able to facilely detach the internal base and its stone from the external shanks, and thus make two separate rings with different meanings.

Research

The design of the ring’s stone has been done by field & empirical studies. This stone is showcased like a heart by golden capillaries within the main gallery (the upper part of the ring), which is a metaphor of self-actualization.

Inspiration

Self-Actualization,Self-actualization means to render the maximum potentiality of an individual by her/himself.A mind which has traversed from darkness and murkiness to a manifestation of light. In the top of the ring, a stone has been placed firmly and steadily, like an ever beating alive heart, by golden capillaries. as Abraham Maslow indicates:what a man can be, he must be.

Project Overview

Code Ring Jewelry has been a Golden winner in the Jewelry Design award category in the year 2019 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition.
