Cleverly organized, BLunch is a dual compartment bag in one for women who fit a lot in their day: commute, lunch plus late events. Its two sections separate essentials from food: an insulated spacious compartment with a zip in the middle stores food and a slim compartment with a top zip access keeps all essentials. The combination of leather for the foldable trim and waterproof fabric with a stitching detailing for the food section is both functional and fashionable.

Unique Properties
B-Lunch is a dual compartment insulated bag that lets women carry food but is also highly work appropriate and looks stylish at dinner afterwards. Cleverly organized, its two compartments separate essentials from food: a waterproof barrier stops leakages and the stitching detailing through the fabric hides the internal insulating textile. It s made of high quality materials, leather and an Italian woven fabric, chosen for its texture and durability, new to the fashion industry.

Production Technology
Each handbag is carefully handcrafted in Italy with high quality materials, full grain leather and Italian woven fabric, by skilled artisans, ensuring durability and luxury.
Design Challenge
The hardest part of the process for the birth of BLunch was to find a factory with experienced artisans to handmade all lunch bags. As the founder looked for a factory to produce the first collection, she knew she needed not just a person who could produce it, but more importantly a partner who could understand our mission behind it. Being Italian from birth, she knew that her region Veneto is a place of precious, skilled craftsmanship as well as beautiful leather. Fortunately, the factory owner was inspired by her story and decided to start a collaboration.
Project Duration
The project started in New York at the end of 2018 and the launch of the website in September 2019 signaled the birth of Pinapple New York.
Operation Flow
Our Lunchbag is flexible and stylish enough to be by women side at lunchtime or on shoulder at events. An insulated spacious compartment with a zip access in the middle stores lunch or snacks and a slim compartment with a top zip access keeps all essential bits and pieces.
Research
Our research included design sketches, sample development in New York City, market researches for competitors and price points, factory researches for sourcing and production. We found out the need for high quality, stylish and functional lunch bags for working women. In terms of researching tools, we used Google analytics. A short market research was made at the beginning to see the availability of similar products, through google, social networks.
Inspiration
The bag is designed to be a dual compartment in one for women who fit a lot in their day: commute, lunch plus late events. The designer moved to New York and after spending a long time moving around the city, the need of a clever kind of lunch bag became apparent. She then decided to give shape to her idea of a stylish bag to carry healthy or favorite food and essentials, with a better compartments organization.
Project Overview
BLunch Lunchbag has been a Bronze winner in the Fashion and Travel Accessories Design award category in the year 2019 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Bronze A' Design Award is given to outstanding designs that showcase a high degree of creativity and practicality. It recognizes the dedication and skill of designers who produce work that stands out for its thoughtful development and innovative use of materials and technology. These designs are acknowledged for their professional execution and potential to influence industry standards positively. Winning this award highlights the designer's ability to blend form and function effectively, offering solutions that enhance people's lives and wellbeing.
