Production Technology
Made from high quality aluminium alloy and processed with 5 axis CNC precision machining, the stand weighs only 34g, offering a virtually senseless user experience. The material combines lightness with high strength, ensuring the stand's robust durability. Adopting a circular top and bottom stacking mechanism paired with an asymmetric hinge, the overall thickness is just 6.5mm, embodying both minimalism and sophistication in design aesthetics.
Design Challenge
The challenge was to meet multiangle and multi-scenario usage requirements. The universal axis supports multidimensional adjustments on the X, Y, and Z axes for infinitely adjustable hover. The dual sided magnetic design features a dual layer magnetic ring precisely aligned with MagSafe for strong smartphone adhesion. The opposite side attaches to surfaces like desks, magnetic walls, kitchen appliances, or fitness equipment, suiting activities such as video viewing, facetime, and filming.
Project Duration
The project was initiated for development in January 2025 and launched in China in March 2025.
Operation Flow
Whether watching recipes while cooking in the kitchen, recording workout routines during fitness sessions, or using it as a car mount while driving, this stand effortlessly adapts to different scenarios, making your phone an indispensable tool in daily life. Equipped with a detachable silicone finger ring, this stand provides a comfortable grip. The ring also features a glow in the dark function for easy location in low light conditions. It supports wireless charging, enhancing user convenience.
Research
With the widespread adoption and diversification of smartphone functionalities, the demand for versatile phone stands has increased across various scenarios. Traditional phone stands often lack multifunctionality and fail to meet diverse user needs in different environments. Therefore, the design team created a stand integrating multifunctionality, stability, and aesthetics to cater to the pursuit of convenience, efficiency, and tech aesthetics for modern users.
Inspiration
The design team drew inspiration from historical principles and applications of universal joints, such as the Cardano gimbal used by Italian scholar G. Cardano in the 16th century and the later development of cross-axis universal joints. These principles inspired the universal axis design, enabling multi-dimensional free adjustments and stable support. The durability supports up to 10,000 opening and closing cycles, ensuring smoothness and reliability over extended periods of use.

Aulumu G09 Phone Stand has been a Bronze winner in the Fashion and Travel Accessories Design award category in the year 2024 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Bronze A' Design Award is given to outstanding designs that showcase a high degree of creativity and practicality.
