Production Technology
1, Stereo Sculpture Craft: The combination of art sculpture and jewelry make jewelry line smooth and full of tension. The whole series boldly use the semi-realistic method, using wax molds to carve out human bones, ribs and other skeletal shapes and then pouring gold to make jewelry. 2, Material: The series of diamond and men's rings are coated with a layer of 18K black gold; Women's ring is 18K platinum imbue diamonds; The necklace was inlaid with a red gem in the shape of love.
Design Challenge
1, arouse the viewer's emotional resonance In thinking about the theme of "desire in life ", designers deliberated and tried repeatedly about design style, styling and use of materials. Finally, the black gold material was adopted, with difficult toning process. 2,The shape of the bones Design is not completely realistic. The more important is to take its design elements, reasonably use them in the design. And the appropriate subtraction is the most challenge for designer.
Project Duration
The project began its conception and conceptual design in Shanghai, China in July 2018, completed in Shanghai in March 2019, and released in China in June 2019.
Operation Flow
The skull shape diamond ring abstractly presents a person holding a diamond with a fixedgaze, which expresses wealth desire; The triangular structure ring formed by intersecting ribs, which expresses male and female’s interdependence passions desire; a heart-shaped red jewel is inlaid in stereo chest ribs of necklace, which expresses the desire for power. Punk looks highlight personality and 18K black gold is more visual, attracting people to think about the theme of "desire and life".
Research
The jewelry design expresses the new trend; Exploration on contemporary art in jewelry design; Study on emotional resonance in jewelry design;Innovative research on 18K metal materials; Study on three-dimensional sculpture technology. The study found that: The combination of philosophical thinking with jewelry design can elevate jewelry from a single wearing function to an expression of emotional resonance. In the Bible, God created Eve with one of Adam's ribs and made her a companion for Adam.
Inspiration
The series is inspired by the designer's reflection on the relationship between desire and life. Wealth and power are represented by ”diamonds" and"gems" while life is represented by "skull,"" sternum" and "ribs". Through the coexistence of three desires, the designer let the wearer think about the relationship between desire and life to reflect on whether you are pursuing unnecessary desires? And have you forgotten the other meanings of life?
