The combination of geometrical shapes and high quality calf leather in two different colors give a special effect. There is a pouch, which is made of shammy leather, can be taken out or used in bag. Hidden magnetic snap is used for the practical opening and closing function. The size and the form of the bag is changed with the folding and opening function, which makes the bag as an accessory of the Casual Outfit as well as a Shoulder Bag or a Clutch for the elegant evening dress.

Production Technology

A high-quality vegetal calfskin leather is used for the manufacturing of this hand-made innovative bag. The geometrical shapes and the combination of two colors gives a special effect. Gold Rivets are used as bounding element of the geometrical shapes. Hidden magnetic snap is used for the practical opening and closing function. There is a pouch, which is made of shammy leather, can be taken out or used in bag. There is a leather handle with chain to carry the bag on shoulder.

Design Challenge

This multifunctional bag adapts to the rapidly changing pace of life of women who are confident and always want to be elegant. I realized this special design with high quality leather and great craftsmanship in this bag.

Project Duration

The project was started in October 2020 in Düsseldorf and finished in February 2021 in Istanbul.

Operation Flow

This innovative Handbag is not only multifunctional, it is also elegant. It can be worn in different forms.

Research

Nowadays women are more likely to be present everywhere and this means that they need to be prepared quickly for the next activity. A handbag is an indispensable accessory for a woman that needs to be changed depending on the situation and clothes. The steadily change of bag is sometimes very time-consuming. With this bag, this effort is eliminated by its functionality. Its elegance is like a butterfly and make it adaptable for every situation.

Inspiration

Inspired by the beautiful and colorful butterflies and called my design butterfly effect because this handbag can be changed from one state to another like a metaphor, whereby a small change can have a big effect.

Project Overview

Butterfly Effect Multifunctional Bag has been a Iron winner in the Fashion and Travel Accessories Design award category in the year 2020 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Iron A' Design Award is awarded to good designs that meet the rigorous professional and industrial standards set by the A' Design Awards. This recognition is reserved for works that demonstrate a solid understanding of design principles and show creativity within their execution. Recipients of the Iron A' Design Award are acknowledged for their practical innovations and contributions to their respective fields, providing solutions that improve quality of life and foster positive change. These designs are a testament to the skill and dedication of their creators, showcasing their ability to address real-world challenges through thoughtful design.
