Production Technology
In order to make the wings, natural leaf and silver with 99.9 % purity (art clay silver) have been used such that the silver is added layer by layer to the natural leaf, then dried and heated in the oven. In order to make the base, 18k gold has been used which was liquated, rolled, sawed and soldered in the workplace and has the current shape
Design Challenge
In order to create this work, we used a material that despite having elegance, delicacy and appropriate texture, it also makes the leaf a resistant, persistent and a valuable work. Art clay silver possesses all the desired properties. Thus, it has been selected. Finding two suitable leaves for creating the work and the fundamental design which apart from beauty and appropriate ergonomic, it also has the necessary equilibrium for the decorative aspect of the work
Project Duration
Idealization and design started in February 2021 and the manufacturing and completion of work has carried out in May 2021 in Tehran
Operation Flow
This product is designed for usage on the hand in a way that the wings cover the surface of the hand, which has been less paid into account in jewelry design. For its decorative applications, after inserting the ring in the plexiglass box, it could be located on a suitable place like the make-up table or a mantle.
Research
According to the research, angels in all cultures are one of the most popular symbols. The wing of the angel is the sign of security, power and greatness, protection and peace. Emertat, which is one of the goddesses of ancient Iran, is a lady that is the symbol of immortality and lasting of Hooramazda and is the guardian of plants and herbs and brings with itself the prosperity to the lands. The angel wing begonia plant with the leaves like the wings of an angel, resembles this goddess and all the other angels that have a protective role in the beliefs of human being as a spiritual force. As a result, by converting these leaves to the jewelry, all the positive vibes will be transferred to the user and it will give a good impression as a decorative object to the user at times, even it is not being used.
Inspiration
In almost all the cultures, angels are spiritual and powerful creatures and in all the citations and paintings, they have wings that symbolize the peace, spiritual innocence, and all the positive energies. The ancient Iranians also had several goddesses or angels, in a cosmological effort to win the good against evil
