Derived from the Big Bang, Taichi Yin and Yang, the eye, and the cushion hexagon, the design symbolizes rebirth and prosperity. Australian Crystal Opal, with its vibrant play of color, presents challenges due to its softness and translucency. These were overcome using custom crafted settings and a blackened gold backing, ensuring enhanced fiery hues and durability when paired with 14K white and yellow gold.

Production Technology
The Galaxie Collection is crafted via a meticulous process, starting with sketches inspired by the Big Bang, Taichi Yin and Yang, the eye, and cushion hexagon symbols of rebirth and prosperity. Using Australian Crystal Opal, 14K white and yellow gold, and accent stones, it seamlessly blends metals. 3D modeling, wax printing, and casting form the structure, while polishing, gold plating, and hand-finishing culminate in precisely setting the Opal for optimal protection and brilliance.
Design Challenge
The Galaxie Collection overcame creative challenges by balancing feminine curves with bold symbolism while merging expensive materials into everyday wear amid today's economic climate. Handling Australian Crystal Opal was difficult due to its softness and transparency. Our design protects the stone with custom-crafted settings and a blackened gold backing that boosts its fire effect. The final Opal setting secures both brilliance and durability, achieving elegant functionality.
Project Duration
The project started in March 2024 in Hanoi, Vietnam and finished in September 2024.
Operation Flow
The Galaxie Collection is crafted for seamless daily wear and versatile styling. Each piece ensures comfort and minimizes snags on hair or clothing. The pendant transforms effortlessly when paired with gold, silver, leather, or nylon chains, adapting to various occasions. Its innovative blackened gold backing enhances the opal’s fire effect with dynamic light play. This design elevates functionality and elegance, delivering an outstanding user experience.
Research
Our study fuses cosmic forces and women's history to design jewelry celebrating transformation and empowerment. Through iterative prototyping with symbols (Big Bang, Yin and Yang, eye, cushion hexagon), we collected data via material trials, optical spectroscopy, and 3D modeling. Experts and artisans evaluated prototypes, showing that blackened gold backing boosts opal brilliance. Findings show sustainable luxury drives refined lifestyles, shaping market trends, culture, and design evolution.
Inspiration
The Galaxie Collection honors the timeless resilience and boundless potential of women, echoing the transformative force of the Big Bang. Inspired by Taichi Yin and Yang balance and evolution, it embodies harmony, intuition, and prosperity. The eye symbolizes strength and visionary insight, while the cushion hexagon represents connection, renewal, and continuity. More than jewelry, Galaxie celebrates individuality, empowering wearers to embrace limitless potential and shine with cosmic brilliance.
