Unique Properties
Wrinkled is a collection of a bracelet and earrings made in two-tones crumpled metal. The scratched finish gives a rough touch to the contemporary jewelry collection. Although made of metal, both the bracelet and earrings are very light due to the thin stainless steel and brass sheets on which the two pieces of jewelry are made.

Production Technology
The jewelry collection was handmade using brass and stainless steel in overlapping sheets. The brass sheet was bended using pliers and both metal sheets were joined together with mini rivets. The pieces os jewelry have brushed finishing and a thin matte varnish to avoid tarnishing.
Design Challenge
The challenge faced in designing the collection was to join two different metals. Stainless steel has a much higher melting temperature than brass, so soldering these materials was discarded. The solution found was to join the two metal sheets with mini rivets, which contributes strongly to the rustic appearance of the collection.
Project Duration
The collection was conceived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2013.
Operation Flow
The collection consists in a bracelet and earrings. The designs were conceived to be used as Statement Jewelry.
Research
The research was about the metal scraps threw away in junkyards that could turn into jewelry.
Inspiration
The concept used to create the collection was the rusticity of the crumpled metals and rough finishing, breaking up with the delicacy and the preciousness of the traditional jewelry.
