Proposal Ring for Zha Lianghao Design
Sprout is a proposal ring inspired by Tagore's poem and the designer proposed to his wife with it. It adopts an organic ring set with a single round brilliant cut diamond, which looks like a blooming flower in a naturally growing plant vine. The designer completes the design in 3D software, and uses a 3D printed wax mold to cast 18K gold. Finally, it is manually polished, and inlaid with a round diamond.

Unique Properties
Sprout is a proposal ring designed by the designer to propose to his wife. The designer hopes that this proposal ring can be very unique in design and have its own style. It adopts an organic ring set with a single round brilliant cut diamond. And it is produced using 3D printing and manual polishing. Simple and memorable.

Production Technology
The designer first uses 3D software to complete the design, then uses a 3D printed wax mold to cast 18K gold, then manually polished, and finally inlaid with high-quality diamond.
Design Challenge
The most difficult part in design and production is how to achieve organic and complex 3D shapes in such a small ring.
Project Duration
The project started in Jan 2021 in Shanghai and finished in June 2021.
Operation Flow
Wear it on the middle finger of the woman's left hand like an ordinary engagement ring.
Research
Sprout is a ring designed by the designer to propose to his wife, and with the help of this unique ring, the proposal was successful.
Inspiration
Sprout is inspired by Tagore's poem, 'The spring flowers break out like the passive paint of unspoken love'. The designer vividly expresses the budding love in the poem, wrapping the diamond symbolizing eternal love with organic surface. It seems like there is a blooming flower in a naturally growing plant vine.
Project Overview
Sprout Proposal Ring has been a Iron winner in the Jewelry Design award category in the year 2022 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Iron A' Design Award is awarded to good designs that meet the rigorous professional and industrial standards set by the A' Design Awards.
