Ring for G&D Unique Designs
The Golden Sunflower is a statement ring with a flower-shaped design featuring an Amethyst crafted in yellow and white gold. The design was inspired by natural flowers. The artist wanted to create a flower-like ring without prongs. Instead, the little petals were used to hold the central stone. Each one of the petals was individually installed and had a diamond set in it. The petals of the ring appear to be emerging from the flower, creating a realistic and elegant design. Because of the by-pass shank style, the leaves help to complete the shank to provide a comfortable fit.

Production Technology
The ring is made of 14k yellow and white Gold. The design is created the way where Amethyst, is held by side petals attached to the base separately, instead of prongs and they also have diamonds embedded in them in a unique way. In addition, the bigger petals are designed so that they elegantly separate the top part of the flower from the bottom. The leaves are designed with functionality to provide balance and comfortable fit not letting it turn to the sides, besides being part of the flower.
Design Challenge
The biggest challenge of the design was to develop elements that would be part of the flower while at the same time would hold the central stone of the flower instead of using traditional prongs, and being made from a different gold color, and each having a diamond set in it.
Project Duration
The Golden Sunflower ring design started in March of 2024 and finished in July of 2024, in Texas, USA.
Operation Flow

The Golden Sunflower ring is crafted with great technical proficiency, excellent attention to detail, creative approach to the theme and clarity of narrative.
Research
Amethyst is one of the stones used from Ancient times symbolizing deep love, happiness, protection, spirituality, and wealth. It's also said to have the power of transforming the negative energy into a positive one. It's purple color represents the crown chakra, providing additional energetic and spiritual benefits when wearing or interconnecting with this mystical gemstone.
Inspiration
The "Golden Sunflower" Ring design was inspired by natural flowers that the artist saw in his dream after an extensive design development journey. The sunflower's symbolic meaning is associated with representation of resilience and growth. It serves as a motivation for humans to overcome challenges, grow strong even in adverse conditions by embracing change, adapt to new situations and evolve, and at the same time stay positive and thrive.
